An
unforgettable tour around the most typically
Saltenean circuit.
Day 1: We start
off from Salta city, move through Valle de Lerma up
to Quebrada de Escoipe (ravine), we drive up the
Cuesta del Obispo (slope) to Piedra del Molino (3348
m. above sea level, we then drive through Parque
Nacional Los Cardones where we visit Valle
Encantado, Recta de Tin Tin (straight), Payogasta,
Cachi and we spend the night in Cachi.
Day 2: We make a
guided tour around the archaeological site La Paya,
then we go on to El Colte, Camino de Los Ponchos, we
visit the weavers working on their looms, Seclantas,
Molinos with a visit to a vicuña farm, then we visit
Angastaco, Quebrada de Las Flechas, San Carlos,
Animana and Cafayate where we spend the night.
Day 3: We make a
guided tour to the archaeological site Ruinas de
Quilmes, in the province of Tucuman, we then return
to Cafayate toi visit a winery and then we proceed
along Quebrada de Las Conchas with stops at all the
important panoramic views on the way up to the ghost
town of Alemania where we visit the old train
station, after that we continue our tour along Valle
de Lerma, moving through an area of tobacco
plantations, we arrive at Cabra Corral, a dam where
our attention is caught by the contrasting views and
then go on our way back to Salta city.
